Techionistas Vivianne about our mission.

Why this training?

Together with Microsoft, we have put together this 100% online training that will prepare you for a job in Tech in 17 weeks fulltime or 26 weeks parttime (excluding holidays). During this English course you will score three Microsoft certificates: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) and Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure (DP-203). In addition to the hard skills, you go through an extensive career skills track. With that, you are ready for a job as a data professional, data engineer, data analyst, business intelligence professional, or data & AI consultant.

Boost your career

Hundreds of people have already successfully retrained themselves via our Microsoft Azure Certified Data & AI track. The succes of this training is that you are not alone in this. You do it together with your fellow students and our coaches and trainers who guide you to the finish. You got this!

We will support you in your job search

Searching and applying for a job can be intimidating. We get that. And although we are not recruiters and you will have to look for that perfect job yourself; we will guide you in every step of the way. During the job search phase, we always organize a Q&A session where Techionistas can share their progress and ask questions. In addition, you will get the chance to attend multiple presentations from our business partners. Finally we use a great tool that organizes your applications and provides an overview of the vacancies of our partners.

You are the perfect match when you are..

Are you eager to learn? Do you have an affinity with the world of Data & AI? Are you result driven? Analytical savvy? Then this track might be for you.

Analytical

It is important that you have some analytical skills (for example, that you have a feeling for mathematics). However we composed the training in such a way that even if you have no experience in IT yet, you should be able to complete this training.

Academic level

We estimate that you need to have an academic (thinking) level for this training. You do not have to prove this to us with a University diploma; it is also possible that you reached this level through your work experience.

Work experience

Your previous career may be unexpectedly interesting for your new employer. During this course you will learn everything about Data & AI; but it’s your work experience and your character that makes you unique and stand out.

Mentality

You have a growth mindset, instead of problems you only see challenges. You are assertive and communicative. You are eager to learn and stress resistant. You can deal with setbacks and therefore you are flexible.

Age

We believe in age diversity, so there is no such thing as too young or too old. Everyone is welcome.

This is what you will learn

We believe in a combination of hard, career and business skills. That is why you will not only be taught everything that has to do with data and AI; you will also follow some great classes from experienced personal branding experts. You will learn how to present yourself to future employers and how to translate that into a perfect CV. We use the official MOC (Microsoft Official Courseware) materials during our training courses in order to prepare you (in the best way) for the Microsoft exams. This means that you will get access to e-books, with accompanying practical exercises, for all three Microsoft certificates for which you will take the exam. What was her experience?

“A career switch is a really big step. Techionista Academy was the push I needed to make the transition to the world of Big Data and AI. I can say that I have not regretted it for a minute. Almost immediately after completing the Academy I was able to start working as a Data Scientist. During the Academy you will learn almost everything about working with data (from coding to security and from dashboarding to storage). Working in IT means a lifelong learning, and the Techionista track is a very good place to start.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does this training cost?

We offer the Microsoft Azure Certified Data & AI track for €8,500 ex VAT (€10,285 incl. VAT). Of course, that is not the real value of this course: it is much higher. If we were to use a commercial rate, this course would cost € 10,444 ex VAT (€ 12,637.24 incl. VAT). But Techionista has a mission: we want to give as many women as possible the opportunity to retrain for a job in ICT. Therefore we want to keep the financial threshold as low as possible to participate in this program. Fortunately, we have found a great partner in Microsoft. Thanks to their support, we have been able to reduce the actual study costs considerably: to € 8,500 ex VAT. As a participant, you pay a contribution of € 3,500 ex VAT (€ 4,235 incl. VAT) before the training starts. The remainder of € 5,000 ex VAT (€ 6,050 incl. VAT) is parked until after the training. If you find a job within 5 months after graduating from the Microsoft Azure Certified Data & AI Track, your new employer can take over the remaining study costs. From experience, we know that almost all employers don’t mind. If you accept a job with an employer who does not want to take over the remaining study costs from you, you will have to pay the amount back to us yourself (possibly in installments, with a maximum of 1 year). In the unlikely event that you are unable to find a paid job within five months of graduating, we will waive the remaining study costs. You will then only have paid the personal contribution of € 3,500 ex VAT.
Are you a self-employed person? Then you also pay a contribution of € 3,500 ex VAT. Do you see yourself as a job seeker, and do you plan to look for new (temporary) work during and/or after the training? Then we also park the remaining study costs of € 5,000 ex VAT for you until after the training. If you find a new (temporary) job within five months of graduating, you will repay the remaining study costs of € 5,000 ex VAT to us in consultation (possibly in monthly installments, with a maximum of one year). If you do not find a new (temporary) job within 5 months after graduating, the remaining study costs will be canceled; you will then only have paid your own contribution of € 3,500 ex VAT.
Do you already have a job at the start of this course? This course is primarily designed for people who are looking for a new job (or freelance jobs). Suppose you are employed somewhere at the time of this course, but you would like to find a new job after finishing it; then we consider you unemployed. In that case, you also pay a contribution of € 3,500 ex VAT. We park the remaining study costs until after the course so that your future employer can take them over from you. (See also ‘How expensive is the Microsoft Azure Certified Data & AI track?’) If you are employed somewhere and also not planning to change jobs, it is the intention that your current employer, or you yourself, pay the total study costs; being € 8.500 (ex VAT).

Are there scholarships that I can use to pay for this track?

If you can’t make ends meet because you have no income while studying at Techionista, you can apply for a study allowance at TechMeUp. Read more at TechMeUp

I am currently receiving unemployment benefits. Do you work together with the UWV?

Yes, Techionista Academy is labeled by the UWV as a training partner. The UWV can make it possible to pay for your training with the help of their training budgets. You can get this budget if you are unemployed, but also if you are going to lose your current job within four months. If you would like more information about the possibilities, please contact your Work Advisor at the UWV and feel free to register without obligation. We will discuss this procedure too during your intake call.

Is the study material included in the price?

You don’t have to purchase anything for this training. All teaching material is available online and included in our price.

Will you help me with my job search?

You are the one who is responsible for finding a new job. However we will support you in every step of the way. We do this, among other things, by introducing you to our business partners in an early stage of your training. In addition, you will have acces to a special vacancy board, on which we share relevant, open vacancies provided by our Business Partners. Finally, we support you with various career skills courses. These will help you with, for example, drawing up a good CV and preparing for job interviews.

Does Techionista have an exemption policy?

it is possible that you already master some of the material you learn at Techionista Academy. However, we do not work with an exemption policy. So you cannot skip parts of the program. This is because you will work together with fellow students. Moreover, repetition never hurts.

What happens when I fail an exam?

You will receive one exam voucher for each exam. Because you will take a total of three exams, you will receive three exam vouchers in total. If you do not pass one of the exams, you can take a resit. You need to pay the costs for a resit yourself. You also need to reschedule the re-exam yourself.

Which certificates will I obtain?

You will take exams for Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) and Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure (DP-203). For each exam you will receive one exam voucher. With this voucher you can schedule your exam online.

Which language will be spoken during the training?

This training is taught entirely in English. The trainers speak English and the material is also in English. It is therefore important that you can speak and read English well. Afraid you might not be able to come up with words fast enough? No worries; you will pick it up very soon.

Are there holidays during the track?

Yes, there are holidays during your retraining process. We take school holidays into account as much as possible. There are no live classes during holidays. You are still expected to do self study a few hours a week. Do you already have other holiday plans that fall outside the planned holiday period? Know that classes will continue and you can’t get too far behind. It is your responsibility to retake any missed live sessions. You need to get back in sync with the group as soon as possible, so you can attend the live training sessions in preparation for your exam. If you already have holiday plans that do not fall within the planned holiday period, you are obliged to report this during your telephone intake interview with Techionista. This way we can give you a better positive or negative participation advice.

How long does this retraining process take?

Parttime participation is based 24 study hours per week. This parttime track takes a total of 26 study weeks, holidays excluded. You can organize your schedule yourself; although there are weekly live (webinar) moments with coaches, trainers and fellow candidates that you need to attend online. Before you start, you will receive a weekly schedule, which states exactly when you will have your regular study time.

Full-time participation is based on 36 study hours per week. This track takes a total of 17 study weeks, holidays excluded. You can organize your schedule yourself; although there are weekly live (webinar) moments with coaches, trainers and fellow candidates that you need to attend online. Before you start, you will receive a weekly schedule, which states exactly when you will have your regular study time.

I do not live in the Netherlands. Can I still participate?

Sure! This is an online training. If the time difference is not an obstacle for you, you are very welcome!

I have no experience with Data & AI. Can I still sign up for this track?

It is important that you have some analytical skills (for example, that you have a feeling for mathematics). But we have composed the training in such a way that even if you have no experience, you should be able to follow the training. The more experience you have with programming languages, the easier it will be. We estimate that you will need an academic level for this training. You do not have to prove this to us with a University diploma; it can also be evident from because of your work experience. Are you in doubt whether you can handle this training? Signing up is always without obligation. After receiving your registration form, we will send you an email with an invitation for an intake call. We can then discuss together whether this training is right for you.

Do I need a specific laptop to participate?

We strongly recommend that you work on a computer with Windows OS (operating system). You need a laptop or computer with a camera and a good microphone, because you will participate in various webinars and team building assignments where we use video calling. In addition, we recommend using a computer with Intel core I5 or higher and 8GB RAM, this ensures that your computer is fast enough to load heavy programs such as Power BI.
